    James obtained a first class degree in Product Design and Technology from the University of Loughborough, UK where he developed the skills to create and design the mOm Incubator. James has been inducted to the Royal Academy of Engineers Innovation Hub and has won a number of awards including the Global James Dyson Award for Innovation. James heads up the mOm team.

James Roberts

Creator and Co-founder

Matthew has a passion for improving healthcare through technology. He spent 10 years working for GE Healthcare in various roles globally.  Prior to mOm, Matthew was CEO of another medtech startup.  There he grew the team and led them through to proof of concept. Matthew  has a degree in Medical Physics.

 Roz joins the mOm team bringing a wealth of experience designing and running programmes of pre and post-market clinical investigations for medical devices.  She and the teams she has built have helped to bring four products to market including a needle-free injection device and a non-invasive pre-natal screening test.  Roz enjoys being at the cutting edge, seeing the difference first hand that new medical devices can make to improving patient outcomes.

Alan has more than 25 years experience as a Medical Director in the medtech industry most recently as Chief Medical Officer for GE Healthcare. Alan has also previously practiced Paediatrics and Neonatal medicine.

Peter has been a Consultant in the UK since 2005. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Royal Holloway University and is the lead clinician for the Surrey and Sussex Neonatal Network. Peter has also worked in low resource settings.

Kathy is a Paediatrician who is currently working in Mbale, Uganda. Her main interests include medical education and clinical research in neonatal care in resource limited settings. She has previously worked in India, Bolivia, Cambodia, South Africa and the Thai-Burmese border

Dr. Kathy Burgoine

David spent 35 years at University College London (UCL) specialising in the development of technologies for the newborn. He once managed all the equipment in the UCL hospital's NICU and he is one of only a handful of UK researchers to be appointed as a fellow to the Royal Society, the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Academy of Medical Sciences.
