Technical Project Manager – Job Description

Role type: Full-time. Hybrid (4 days a week in the office).

Responsibilities:

As a hands-on Technical Project Manager, you will manage and take ownership of technical projects, including product development and technical investigations from concept to completion or handover. You will also offer design and engineering expertise to these projects. Reporting to the Head of Technical, your key responsibilities will include the following:

• Oversee each project’s life cycle from conception to completion, maintaining project plans and trackers. For product development projects, there shall be an emphasis

on technical soundness and resource efficiency within an ISO 13485 environment.

• Manage external partners (development or otherwise) and subcontractors, ensuring timely delivery and outputs aligned with project requirements.

• Lead and contribute to internal design and development projects for our products.

• Support production and provision of technical support by managing or conducting technical product investigations.

• Creative thinking, conceptualisation and input into the future product portfolio.

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to refine and evaluate product requirements and content needs for mOm’s products. This will also include commercial and regulatory requirements.

• Create, review and manage documentation required for design control, transfer to manufacture and regulatory purposes, including Technical Design Files, Risk Management records, Verification and Validation protocols and reports, etc

• Support Quality/Regulatory compliance through technical reviews where required.

• Support Order Fulfilment processes where required.

• Write and review grant and award applications.

• Maintain and uphold company values both internally and at events.

• Maintain confidentiality and integrity when working.

• Other tasks as required.

Requirements:

Essential Skills:

• At least 3 years of experience, and a proven track record in product/device development, in the medical or other highly regulated industry (e.g. automotive, aerospace, defence)

• Good degree in an Engineering or Product Design discipline

• Structured and methodical problem solving

• Team player who is comfortable working as part of a close-knit project team

• Good reporting and presentation skills

• Ability to cope well with change – we are a scaling company responding to developing priorities.

Desirable:

• Medical device experience, having worked under an ISO 13485 Quality Management System

• Risk management techniques knowledge and experience

• Product life cycle management experience (including specification, verification and validation)

• Design for Manufacture and Assembly experience and demonstrable track record

• Cost reduction experience and demonstrable track record

• Competent in Solidworks or similar

• Competent in a second language – of particular interest are Arabic, German, French
