The mOm Story

James Roberts (CEO and Co-Founder) was a final year design student at Loughborough University when he was challenged to design a product that ‘solved a problem’.

The concept for the mOm Essential Incubator came to James after watching a news item about the difficulties in providing newborn care across the world due to a lack of affordable and robust infant medical equipment.

His proposal won the James Dyson Award for Innovation for his design with seed funding provided to turn his vision into a reality.

Since then, the team has expanded, bringing together an expert group dedicated to expanding access to newborn care.
